Yo everyone, here's an opportunity to ride with me as I gallop around the world in persuit of the wind and mastering my freestyle moves. I will write down my thoughts and experiences as well as new or old moves that I've masteres. Don't hesitate to ask questions and I will answer them as soon as I hook up. See you on the net or the water!

Margarita March 18th

Oh man so yesterday I convinced a couple of the guys to make the crossing from Isla Margarita to Coche, cause Kris took a boat ride over they’re to film.
We made it the 16km to Isla Coche and ripped it up till like 6:00 when we had to get a ride back on the boat.   When we got to the boat it was totally full, and our other buddy who we figured we would get a ride with was staying the night.  So we decided to try and sail back.  The only problem was it was 16 km across and then we had to beat upwind about 4 miles.  We made it back to Margarita at the end of dusk.  Then the 3 of us took two huge tacks upwind as the light completely disappeared, there was no moon.   On the 3rd tack we could see the lights of the huge Hotel California in Playa El Yaque where we needed to go, unfortunately it was still ridiculously far upwind.  We decided to call it and seek other options, and landed on the beac ...

Margarita march 14th
By Wyatt on 3/14/2007 6:31 PM

Last two days have been killer, sailed with some of the local boys Cheo , Gollito and the rest of the fanatic team over to the butter flat waters of Coche Island.  It is about a 16 km crossing, the only problem being the wind dies in the middle so you gotta slog is out in the open water.  Once you get neat the island the wind fills back in and you can blast inches away from the beach in solid off-shore conditions.  We have been filming for our upcomming video and shooting photos for Fanatic and the water is so butter smooth that it looks as if there is no wind at all.
My sails are working great, all the guys are jelous of my black top, but it works well cause they can see me wherever I am sailing, and since Kris is always filming, i quickly attract the freestyle frenzy.  Which makes the video sesh a lot more fun.

I will try to get some shots up here soon but the internet connect is painfully slow, but to ...

In Margarita
By Wyatt on 3/9/2007 12:34 PM
Hola Amigos! Things have been going great here in Margarita. It has been windy every single day since I arrived two weeks ago.  Kris Ostness and I have been filming like crazy.

We did a photo shoot for the Fanatic brochure yesterday and I stickered myself up with Windwing stickers on my t-shirt so the logos and the sails should make the brochure and the internationally distributed video.  The Windwing website is looking great and  I will start loggin in and let you know what's happening,  There are over a hundred windsurfers on the water every day here. What a great place to be!
