“Ease of transporting less stuff. Ease of not having to change sail size when the wind changes. Bigger chance of choosing/rigging the right sail size for the conditions. Less hassle, more fun time on the water. Sometimes less is more! Hope this concept works!” Answer: It worked for me and kept me windsurfing for 22 more years.

— Fredrik Karlsson, SWEEDEN: Advanced 190bs.

“I’m an original Windwing user from the 90s, whilst living in Oregon. I’m still ambitiously sailing and very excited about this comeback.”
—Christophe Sem, SWITZERLAND: Advanced 187lbs.

“Just one sail is great, and I am too old to sail in high wind or low wind” Answer: I think many feel that way. But in my experience, I crave strong gusts when the water is flat.
— Mark Nichols, USA: Intermediate 200lbs.

"I am returning after 25 years and shocked by the price and complexity of modern rigs. I don’t want to unpack 5 sails, 3 masts, etc. I want a smaller kit. I don’t need to be the fastest. I just want to go sailing again!”
— John Willcox, USA: Intermediate 190lbs. “

“Would be nice to go back to the old days: one board, one rig.”
— Mark Gijsen, BELGIUM: Intermediate 200lbs.

“After 2026 Defi, I’m looking for a wide range sail. Really surprised to see a 70 kg rider can finish 81 with 6,9 sail on all races. I have used 3 different sails and many planning lost. Was too tired to spend much time in Defi village and missed the opportunity to discuss. Any possibility to try near Gruissan? Or where else? Any change in rigging needed when the wind changes?
— Nicolas Didier, SPAIN: Advanced 187lbs.

“Seems very smooth and cost/time saving to use, my windsurf spot in Norway has always had different winds during one day, sun breeze comes and goes, BR Erlend”
— Erlend Ekvold, NORWAY: Intermediate 196bs.

“I strongly believe in the idea of one sail, one board. I have a raceboard (boho) and its sail 9,5 sqm. It is tunable across many conditions. I also have a Thomen ride (125 litres), which is also sailable in a lot of different conditions. The RigONE would pair perfectly with that last board!”
— Burt de Pueter, BELGIUM: Advance 254bs.

“I am curious how a single sail can cover such a wide wind range. The website doesn’t explain it at all, which makes me suspicious, but I would like to be convinced.
Chris Oram, KENYA: Intermediate 200bs.

Answer: I am fascinated and intrigued to know where you windsurf in Kenya!? Please go to this page: What’s RigONE, where the provisional patents of this sail are explained.

“1 Wife, 2 kids, 1 dog, myself, and my windsurf gear need to fit in a car. Less sails, same range? Yes, please!!!”
— Carlo Kriesi, NORWAY: Advanced 170lbs.

"This is so incredible!! You are amazing and brilliant, John!! Thank you for continuing to promote windsurfing!! Thank you for your incredible innovations!! This sail is so incredible!! Keep up the awesome work!!!
— "Jared Schaalje, CANADA: Advanced 250bs. “

“I’m excited because I have loved this sport since the age of 12 in 1986. So much so that I remember watching boardsailing year vids with John featured in them. So much so that almost 20 years ago, I stoked the flames of the community in Rochester, NY and started an online local presence called Rochester Windsports to strengthen our community. I want this sport to thrive again, and it seems good to me that a person who has invested in it for so long, like John, may know what he is talking about. Good luck, and thanks!”
— Douglas Willard USA: Advanced 195lbs.

“Much like Windwing, I took a long hiatus from windsurfing. After 25 years off, I started back again. Had some Windwing sails back in the old days (still have at least 1 in the garage). Was always impressed with them, and happy to see you’re back and still innovating!”
— L. Mettler USA: 205lbs Advanced.

For over 40 years,
WINDWING has been an innovator.

We established our reputation by creating the highest-performing windsurfing sails, the most progressive traction foils, and the most advanced inflatable kites in the world. We pioneered breakthroughs in kite safety, including the High Projected Kite (HIPRO) and the Windwing S.A.F.E. System.

Our philosophy has always been simple: Bring Something New!

Then, in 2005, we went silent...

Twenty years later, older, wiser, we're focused and free from clutter or distractions, and we are back with a revolutionary new sail. A sail you rig ONCE...it auto-tunes itself for the rest of the day.

We are back to revive Windsurfing with new innovations.
