
The original windsurfer was launched in 1967 with a single sail. This sail, rigged on a mast, can be tuned with the Outhaul and Downhaul. Windsurfing does not have the ability to furl down a sail in strong winds. So the solution is multiple sails tailored to different conditions and abilities. After 60 years, the sport has not found a sensible solution to downsizing.

The RigONE introduces a new, patented load-bearing point at the base of the sail, next to the “tack,” called the Multi-Tack Inhaul Panel (M-TIP). It is a set of multiple adjustable lock straps attached behind and away from the Tack Pulley (Fig 2). When the straps are wrapped around the base of the mast and pulled through the lock buckle (Fig 3), the bottom of the sail above the foot is folded accordion-like up against the mast (Fig 4).
